Farr Rising Pinot Noir

2017 Farr Rising Pinot Noir

Supple and super delicious with a long expansive finish that fans out like a peacock’s tail.

Semi-translucent, slightly cloudy, bright dark red colour with a light crimson hue. Captivating scents of violet laced ripe red cherries, winter strawberries and a faint whiff of red currant flow through the nostrils showing great intensity. Gamey forest floor, subtle dried clove, well-integrated cedar and spicy dried herbs all add further interest to complete a complex picture. Elegant and supple in the mouth, generous ripe red cherry, winter strawberry and juicy red currant flavours power across the palate delivering fantastic drive. Underscoring the delicious ripe red fruits are subtle infusions of violets, light vanillin cedar, forest floor and spicy dried herbs. Superb tannin/acid balance with a very long ripe cherry, strawberry, red currant, delicate clove, vanillin cedar, forest floor and wild herb aftertaste.

Cellar 5-6 years.
