Tasting Note: A limited-production wine made from rare 100-year-old Tempranillo vines in a single vineyard in the Rioja Alta region. The wine is ruby red with garnet reflections, velvetty soft and smooth on the palate with a fresh acidity. Supple tannins support the core of ripe blackberries and cherries combined with notes of cinnamon, vanilla, balsamic, coffee and chocolate from 9 months in French oak barrels. A wine with fantastic complexity, very long and elegant.
Food pairing: Ideal with roasts, especially game such as pheasant or pigeon, as well as cheese.
