This is a tightly wound red with plums and blackberry fruit with lifted violets and floral notes. 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Cabernet Sauvignon was not successful so it was not included in the blend. Supple, well made with good freshness and firm tannins. Well made St-Emilion red with good length.

Tasted blind. Mid ruby. Sweet. Exotic, glucose sort of nose. Then rather flattering and meaty and vibrant on the palate. Not the densest but there is much to enjoy with the tannins well and truly polished. Jancis Robinson
